You know, I love fashion/accessories almost as much as I love makeup. I also love to shop online and as a busy mother and housewife I don't have time to go to the malls that are jam-packed with wall to wall people. I like to shop in the comfort of my own home without the pressures of pushy sales people and standing in long lines at the checkout counter. Besides that, I don't have to worry about what time the stores close because online shopping is available 24/7.

So when I find unique and fashionable websites that offer trendy products at affordable prices, I like to share them with all my friends. One that stands out among the crowd is a boutique called My Chic Things. I just happened to grab a quick interview online with the lovely and multi talented owner, Beth Anderson.

Beth can you tell us how My Chic Things got started? What inspired you?

Beth: I have always loved the retail business. I have been a buyer for my mother-in-law's gift shop for years and I always wanted to own my own store. As a 23 year veteran teacher, I often wondered what I would do if I ever decided to retire. Three of my girlfriends decided to start their own business together so Chronique Couture and Whimsy Business were launched. I had talked to them about their web designer and contacted Elaine Biss for advice. She helped me in so many ways.
Every woman wants to look fabulous when they leave the house. I personally like to wear jeans and tshirts most of the time. My goal is to find chic accessories to go with these wardrobe items. As a teacher, I don't have loads of money to spend. I wanted to offer woman beautiful accessories to wear with their jeans that wouldn't cost a fortune. I also love to be pampered and that is why I have luxurious soaps and spa type items as well.

What are some of your best selling products at My Chic Things?

"My best selling products....the Denise Tjarks handbags! I sell them as soon as they arrive in my boutique. I also sell a lot of the Shemergency kits. I searched for several months for the absolute best bath and body products I could find. Ciao Bella is amazing! I will soon be carrying Elodie Otto's line of body products as well. You probably remember her from the MTV series "The Hills."
I also run Chic Consulting where I do fashion and web business consulting. Right now I am developing and managing several Top 100 Sites Lists and marketing several new web businesses.
I guess between teaching first grade, being a mom, MyChicThings.com and Chic Consulting, I have my plate full."
