Do you suffer from oily skin and find yourself reapplying your makeup shortly after the first application? Wouldn't you love for your face to look shine-free and flawless, and not look like an oil slick? Of course you would, who wouldn't, right? Now with summer here, I always seem to battle more in keeping my facial oil under control. But not any longer. Let me introduce you to my new found friend, OC EIGHT.
OC Eight is a unique mattifying gel due to its exclusive copolymer formulation that guards against facial shine by imbibing sebum (sebum is absorbed but not released) as fast as it is produced to leave skin looking smooth and shine-free.
Professional make-up artists use OC Eight to help keep make-up in place even under the hot glow of stage lighting. It's great to use as a primer for both airbrush and regular foundation wear. It has been recommended for use by top Hollywood make-up artists, including Mezhgan, who is the head make-up artist for American Idol, and Carmindy in her book, "The 5 Minute Face".
It can be worn by itself to give you even-toned, beautifully matte skin that looks and feels fresh.
After my usual morning cleansing routine, I applied the OC Eight to my T zone. This is the area where I have the most oil. Waited a few minutes to allow my face to dry and then applied my make-up as I normally do. Went about my business for the rest of the day and did not check my make-up until hours later. I have to say there was some oiliness but not as much as I normally have. Since I wasn't sure if I was seeing the results that this product had promised, I decided to do a "split-face demo" as suggested on the OC Eight website. By applying OC Eight to only one half of my face, I would then be able to see the results all day long. So the next day I did my morning cleansing routine, applied the OC Eight gel to one half of my face. After applying my foundation I could see right away that there was a difference in how my make-up looked. It was less shiny and when I checked it a few hours later, it was pretty much the same as it was when I first applied it. By the end of the day, I could see that the side I had applied the OC Eight on only had a small amount of shine, whereas on the other side, my foundation was basically non existent and my skin looked oily.
You can reapply the gel if needed, at any time of the day.
I highly recommend this mattifier, because it really did a great job of controlling the oil on my face.
OC Eight is suitable for all skin types and is non-irritating, non-comedogenic and non-drying. It will give your make-up that "just applied" look throughout the day.
It's also more effective than oil-absorbing sheets.
OC Eight is available for purchase in physican's offices nationwide as well as multiple online vendors, including:
