MAC'S Neo Sci-Fi collection contains a large variety of glamorous products that are sure to give you style. This collection is especially nice since the vibrant colors mesh nicely with the beiges and flesh tones. The packaging, a bright neon orange color, might make it obvious that the collection is full of bright colors—but you may be surprised upon seeing the more “subtle” shades. So whether you’re looking for a subtle or dramatic look, these colors are perfect.

Pleasureseek (Glaze) Lipstick


Mac's Pleasureseeker lipstick, a pretty shade of creamy peach, is probably my favorite lipstick in this particular collection. Not only is the shade perfect for a full, elegant look for your lips, but it can be made to be surprising and dramatic. Coating this lipstick over another shade, or even applying a MAC lipglass over the lipstick, can make your lips really stand out!

Electro (Lustre) Lipstick

Wow – that’s all I can say when I first saw this shade. Electro is a bright orange color that’s definitely one of the more “fluorescent” shades of Neo Sci-Fi. I never thought I’d wear a shade like this, since I’m not one for neon shades. But when coating a different shade of lipglass over the lipstick, it gives a classier look that suited me best. Really, when using this collection’s lipsticks, it’s a matter of mixing-and-matching colors to fit your style.



Soft & Slow (Frost) Lipglass



Soft & Slow by MAC is described as a “midtone creamy plum,” and no other description fits better. The color not only compliments nearly every skintone, but it also has a creamy texture that feels nice against the lips. So whether you’re simply applying this to your nude lip or coating it over a lipstick shade, Soft & Slow is quite the flattering color that’s perfect for any occasion.

Expensive Pink (Veluxe Pearl) Eye Shadow


When I first used this eye shadow, I wasn’t entirely sure how to describe the color. Then, upon reading MAC’s description of the shade – “pink with gold duochrome” – my first thought was “Hey, that’s perfect!” And really, I can’t think of a better explanation. MAC’s eye shadows are naturally vivid and require a simple swipe with an applicator, so it’s no shock that the shade showed up great on my eyelids. While it is a nice shade of pink (maybe even rose?), it gave off a subtle golden shimmer.

Femme-Fi (Veluxe Pearl) Eye Shadow

The Neo Sci-Fi collection also contains a fleshier eye shadow called “Femme-Fi.” This golden cream shade is perfect for highlighting a finished eye shadow look. The lighter shade can also be contrasted with something darker from the collection, giving a striking, dramatic look. The texture of the eye shadow is so smooth and applies nicely to the eyelid so it’s not too much, but not too moderate. This shade adds nicely to MAC’s glamorous collection.

Spaced Out Sheertone Shimmer Blush


Spaced Out, a shimmery peach tone, is the lighter shade of MAC’s sheertone shimmer blushes. It’s not only great to compliment a bronzed look, but it’s also adaptable for any style you’re going for. Like MAC’s eye shadows, this too applies nicely with a simple swipe from your brush. This shade of blush meshes perfectly with the other makeup products of the collection to give that glamorous look MAC promised.
