Mac's Cool Heat Collection: "The Perfect Paradox. Hot In Coral. Chilled in Blue."
COOL HEAT collection consists of assorted eye shadows (which fall under three different categories of frost, veluxe pearl, and velvet) and slimshine lipsticks that combine to create the perfect summer look.
Cool Heat Eye Shadow - Frost
MAC describes its “Cool Heat” eye shadow as a “frosty teal with multi-dimensional pearl” – and honestly, there’s no better description. Whether it’s “teal” or “aquamarine” you prefer, this eye shadow indisputably gives an icy look that meshes beautifully with the lighter eye shadows of the collection. It’s well-pigmented, so it shows up vividly on the eyelid. A simple swipe onto the eyelid with an eye shadow brush and the shadow’s color appears as colorful as ever.
Blue Flame Eye Shadow – Veluxe Pearl
As another part of the Cool Heat collection, Blue Flame eye shadow is a shade of navy blue that gives off a metallic sheen. Gorgeous color that will suit any complexion. It's very easy to blend and goes well with the other shadows in this collection.
Climate Blue - Velvet
A beautiful mid-tone violet blue with pink pearl. Gorgeous color that would suit a cool toned complexion.
Despite their dark bright colors, these shadows are not as bold looking as they appear to be. You can create a soft subtle eye look or go for a more dramatic look using these shades.
All three of them have great staying power with no creasing or smudging whatsoever.
Slimshine Lipstick
The two slimshines I tried were Swelter and High90's. These lipsticks are packed with moisture and the formula is so creamy, it feels like you are wearing gloss.
Mac describes Swelter (frost) as a sheer red and High 90's(frost) as a clean pink orange. High 90's looks more like a coral pink on my lips and is quite bright but so perfect to wear this summer. Your lips will definitely get noticed.
Swelter is a sheer light red that will give your lips a nice touch of color. Depending on the kind of look you are going for, you can either go sheer or dark. Try using a dark red lip liner and then fill in with Swelter to create a hot evening look. That should really make the red pop out.
All of the shadows and lipsticks in the Cool Heat collection compliment one another to give you a fun and glamorous summer look.
