Mac Sonic Chic Mineralize Blush Review

MAC Sonic Chic is a collection of Mineralize Blushes that vary in shade according to skin tones. Like most other blushes, they may be used on the face and eyes in addition to the cheeks.

One of my personal favorites would have to be "Dainty" which MAC describes as a "light yellow pink with gold pearl." At first, I didn't really see any gold pearl in the shade, but upon closer examination, small golden flecks were visible - a subtle addition for my likes.

When applied to the cheeks, it can give off either a subtle blended look or a dramatic contrasting appearance - usually depending on your skintone, eyeshadow, lipstick/lipgloss, etc. My skintone is usually fair, but during the summer (since I'm prone to be out in the sun) I get a slight tan...so at the moment, I'm darker than usual. However, even with my fair skin, I'd still be able to wear this shade when my tan fades - it's not too light and not too dark, alotting most people the ability to wear the shade (without looking like a clown).

Opposite to Dainty, one of the deeper shades in the collection is Merrily, a "midtone dirty (burned) red with gold pearl." This one, you must be more careful with applying - it's definitely something you'd need to match with your skintone and makeup as a whole. If lightly dusted across the cheeks, it gives off a softer tint.

Over all, MAC's Sonic Chic collection has gorgeous shades to fit your blush preference.
