The Body Shop HotBrights 2009 Collection

I recently received a few products from The Body Shop's new summer line, HotBrights Collection to review. I have to say that I was immediately attracted to this collection. I love the fun flirty summer colors and the new compacts that feature a pretty floral graffiti print.

Eye Shadow Duo in Cream/Blue

When I opened the eye shadow duo compact and saw the deep blue aqua shade, my first initial thought was this was not going to suit my complexion at all. I just don't wear blues well, as most seem to make my eyes appear smaller. But I thought I would be brave and experiment with it.

I was really surprised to see how good this color looked on my eyes. In fact it looked pretty darn good, especially with my newly tanned skin!
The texture of the shadows are silky smooth and are easy to blend. The staying power is amazing to. It's super versatile for both day and night and is perfect for creating a dramatic look.

The only negative I found is that the color creases. Next time I will use an eyeshadow primer.

Hot Brights Blush Shade 01 Pink

This is a cool vibrant pink and a pale pink toned blush duo. Texture is soft and easy to blend. To apply just swirl your brush through both shades or you can use the dark pink on the apples of your cheeks and the lighter pink to highlight your cheek bones.
This blush did not suit my skin tone as it made me look washed out. I think it's best suited for cool toned complexions. Just my personal opinion.
