DermaQuest recently launched its new mineral makeup line - DermaMinerals, and I had the opportunity to try out their Pressed Treatment Minerals: Eyes in the colors Prism and Helix.
I have a love hate relationship with loose mineral eye shadows and mineral makeup in general. I absolutely hate the mess that they make. So I was excited to try DermaMinerals pressed mineral eye shadows. These compact shadows are everything I want in mineral makeup - natural, so they do not irritate my skin, and compacted, so that I would not spill them and be left with only half the eye shadow.
They are also very color-true and they blended nicely (in other words, no muddy makeup!). Not to mention the velvety texture was so smooth and creamy, not at all like your average eye shadow! Because this is a pressed mineral eye shadow as opposed to the traditional loose makeup, the shadow stayed on my lid upon application without any fallout.
Prism, the lighter shade, is a gorgeous peachy coral with gold highlight, while Helix, the darker shade, is a matte plum. My eyes are hazel (green/brown/gold) and when I wear Helix, it makes the green in my eyes pop! It looks stunning on my eyes!
All shades are complimentary to each other, so the shadows I used worked well together.
If you love mineral eye shadows but hate the mess, then you are going to love these.
The DermaMinerals line is free of talcs, synthetic dyes, artificial fragrance, and parabens, and is packed full of premium, triple-milled pure minerals.
