MAKE UP FOR EVER Pastel Perfect Eye Shadow Swatches and Review

Pastel Perfect

Pastel eye shadows were so popular back in the 60's and have made their way back today as the hottest makeup trend to wear this spring and summer.  I'm not a fan of pastel eye shadows but I have to say that some of these colors are really quite pretty. The one color I am mostly intrigued with is the #25.  It's a gorgeous shade of apricot that has a slight sheen to it. All the shadows are highly pigmented and blendable. They are super long lasting when used with an eye shadow primer but even without one, mine lasted a long time. All the colors are really fantastic!

Not sure if you can pull off pastels? Just try this simple 4-step eye technique from MUFE's Academy Educator, Jen Evans. She shares her pro tips for adding a subtle pop of color to your lids.

Get The Look: Pastel Perfect Shadow

Step 1: Apply a nude eye shadow from the upper lash line to the crease.

Step 2: Using an eye shadow brush like MAKE UP FOR EVER's #10S, sweep your favorite pastel eye shadow from the inner to outer corner of the eye, extending just above the crease while leaving the outer corner open.
Step 3 (optional): Apply a pop of pastel to the outer corner of the lower lash line for a more colorful, playful pop.
Step 4: Apply two coats of your favorite mascara, such as MAKE UP FOR EVER Smoky Lash.
