MAC Beth Ditto Shade & Smoke Shadow Liner Swatches and Review

Making their first appearance in the MAC Beth Ditto Collection are the Shade & Smoke Shadow/Liners. They are dual-ended, eye shadow on one end and greasepaint liner on the other. I'm not sure what to make of these just yet. I am having a difficult time deciding whether I love them or hate them. I am somewhere in between. I love the liner but honestly hate the shadow. It goes on streaky and feels dry almost, not creamy at all like you would expect them to be.  I had to press hard just to get some color to show up on my lids.

I didn't use a lid primer and that may be why I was having a difficult time with them. The liner on the other hand was easy to apply and was nicely pigmented. I tried all four colors. Little Miss Moffet is a well pigmented black liner and the shadow is white. Drag,Strip is the one that I had the most difficult time with. The liner is a smoky navy color and the shadow is a pale blue. You can see in the photos below that it looks streaky.
Beth Mask is my favorite of the 4. I love the liner which is a reddish brown bronze and the eye shadow is a golden peach pink. I have used the liner a few times now and really like it. It glides on nice and smooth. Beth Or Glory, the liner is deep brown and the eye shadow is a bright blue color.

From Top to Bottom: Beth Or Glory, Drag/Strip, Little Miss Moffet, Beth Mask
